Chasing datacrons

I'm both playing Diablo 3 atm and trying to get my remaining datacrons on each planet. This time I am using a list with all useful Trooper datacrons. I'm currently Datacron-hunting on Corellia.

I didn't what to cheat at first, but I gave up after hours of looking on my own.

The list is here.

Here I am with the cunning datacron on Corellia.

This one is real frustrating to get, you need to blow off a cannister excactly right so you fly over to the datacron. Trying for the 3rd time as we speak :)

Routinely conduct in SWTOR

Why is always the same pattern repeated in a MMO where I PVP? Although there are 100's of different things to do, it is always easier to just jump into a Warzone and play than trying to do something different and create a group for quests, flashpoints etc.
Sometimes I believe that I would simply have more fun if I just focused more on PVE and saved PVP to games that focus solely on it... like Daoc, Warhammer and Guild Wars 2.

Do not misunderstand me, I like PVP in SWTOR and have fun playing it, but it tends to wear me out a lot faster these days, same also happened in Rift and WOW. Unfortunately routinely conduct coming from this prevents
me from doing something else and it's hard to be creative when you are tired and have about 30 minutes left before going to bed.
That's why I was so surprised after testing Lotro a year ago. I unexpectedly fell in love with it even if it was a PVE game. It had great community, roleplaying and sandboxing.

Back to SWTOR! When reading the patch notes for 1.2, I say to myself: "Okay, So where is all this new stuff?" Well, everything is there, I just have to stop taking the easy route and try new things, even if the Story mode flashpoint does not give me better gear, it will at least give me a great experience. Just look at the Rakghoul flashpoint, I had a blast playing Kaon Under Siege. Now I just need to g
et the thumb out of my ass and do the next one.

Beside from all this, I’m guessing I just wanted a discussion, my Agent is now level 10 and I have chose Sniper as advanced class. I also ran a little PVP yesterday with my Trooper and had some nice games. I’m currently playing as Assault again after being Tactics for a while. Both build are real fun!

I must also add that I’m very disappointed when it seems that Elder Scrolls Online will be another standard MMO. I was really hoping for Skyrims graphics in a sandbox environment... But I’ll guess we have to see how it will evolve.

So anyone else feeling they need to throw things around in order not to get caught up in the same routine? Or maybe you can share some tips that prevents this? Share your thoughts!

Imperial Agent

Yesterday I started my first Sith Empire character, a Imperial Agent going for Sniper! From movies, games, books I have always had thing "thing" for snipers, so the choice was quite natural.

Since I have trouble playing evil characters, I will see how it is to play a "evil side" character as lightsided. My agents backstory is that he are an double agent for the Republic. No heavy-RP but just a backstory that justifies why I will play him as lightsided.

I haven't really played him more then a few levels and if I stuck to him I will continue to post about his adventures in Hutta.

The good thing about SWTOR is that you don't need to rush, atleast that is what I am trying to say to myself...

Newbie Blogger Initiative and myself

The reason I occasionally blog is that I like to be able to look back on what I have played in the past and keep a "journal" of my gaming-life. It's really amusing to look back and see what I wrote about games ie. before release and then months after playing.

One example is the Collectors Edition of SWTOR. In my post here you can read that I had no intention of buying it. But lets take a look at my shelf... what do we have there? Isn't that a Malgus statue? Yupp!

So what am I trying to say? A blog really helps me create a red line between decisions and the outcome of them. To see how they evolve over time.

This morning I stumbled upon one of Syp's posts about "Newbie Blogger Initiative". I haven't registered on the forum, but I will definitly follow the discussions to learn some tips and pointers from the experienced guys and gals in there. This will hopefully aid me in my blogging crusade and give me some ideas.

Peace!
